this might sound really naive, but is there any software on the market where it has an unlimited lifespan rather than renewing every year? Coz im really cheap

You can try one of the following free products. However, periodically they will require uninstallation and reinstallation when new versions are released (eg: AVG upgrading to 7.5 last year)

Just download a free one, like AVG, it works just as well as the bought ones and you never have to pay a penny.

Type in google AVG FREE and it will be the first link

I used avast free version, a lot of computer guru's use it, prefer it to any paid anti virus system.

NO, It needs to be updated that enables the company you choose to keep your virus definitions up to date.
