I would pray for him every day and show the kindness of Christian love. That's all.

What would a Muslim family do if their son or daughter converted to Christianity?

If the Islam was in step with the militant fanatism abhored and denounced by civilized humanity, we would rescue him/her from a wanton and deluded state of mind that his/her recruiters instilled.

If our child was interested in Sufi inflected Islam, we would encourage a comparative study of all the major religions.

For those who answered that they converted to Islam against their parents wishes, consider that at the end of the day that they are your flesh and blood, that part of you that brought you into this world and nurtured you to the point that you dishonor, disrespect them and their wishes, break their hearts, and if your choice of Islam is anti-American aggressive, you have become an embarrassment and liability to them and this nation.

i am one of those kids who did just that and my parents have not spoken to me since. I have been kicked out of the house onto the street. A family took me in and i have become a part of them. My parents know where i am and often see me, they make no attempt to return my greetings and i feel bad when they do this. I have almost given up on them completely. Who said a parents love is unconditional, they got it so wrong. I may be a muslim now but i will always be there son, well then again maybe not.

My parents are "non Muslim" and i chose Islam. Their reaction was they raised me to think for myself and have always supported me in any decision i have made. They know the truth about Islam and are more than happy for me to follow it.

you just got to remember
at end of day,the child is your flesh and blood, wheva he/she is muslim, christian,Jew,hindu
you should love them no matter what!!!

just because your child has converted to Islam, doesnt make them a bad person!!

if you react negatively you will push your child away, they will then end up hating you..
js respect their decision, let them know that you will be there whenever they need you!!

I have an on-line friend who is preparing to revert to Islam. Her mother and sister are quite understanding for her decision and they are willing to accept whatever she decides.

Being from a family of devil worshipers i believe any evil religion will do.:) but seriously folks i do not believe there is anything inherently wrong with any religion that worships God and cares for people. We must try to know the difference between religion and politics.
