First, the information about the railways. They are inexpensive.
Second, very cheap hotel rooms with little included. You can have such rooms for $10 U.S. a day and more.
You can as well browse "hostel" if you want very cheap rooms shared with others.
I will be there in 3 months then I am working seriously to get a lot of information.
Then the last site to figure what is the value of your money (before some extra cost for the exchange).

i went on travel super market . com the other day, £437 was the cheapest i could find. that was from nov-may. most other sites are giving quotes around £451.

just had a look at westeast travel and they are a bit more expensive at the times we are travelling.

if you are uk based,you could try www.westeasttravel.com.I was handed a flyer at a thai trade festival and they have some startlingly low prices.If you can fly before 17th dec or actually on xmas day for best price.Another good site is online travel,consistently low prices.If you are american try cheapflights.com
