Usually on an average week, I will take around 430 pictures.
Out of that I would say 425 are excellent. I work a high volume professional studio and with the advent of digital it has really upped my game. We now give cd proofs before you leave the studio, so there is very little room for mistakes.
Also, this is the season where school sports photography is in full swing, so that number is alot higher this month. (Add about another 400 to that total).

Hope this helps.

I take 6-10 shots about every other week and am usually very selective about what I take. Half of these, in my opinion, are excellent. All of them are technically excellent. I shoot all digital 35mm.

Last week I took three images of an old store front. One I decided not to do anything with, one I like but am not sure I will use it, and one was worth working on in Photoshop and printing.

Yes, I have been a professional photographer in the US and now live in New Zealand.
