It's very possible.
I was in love with one of my best friends for several years, and she was well aware of it. She had feelings for me as well.
I never went out with her because I knew it probably wouldn't work out, and I figured it's better to have her as my best friend than lose her alltogether through a bad breakup.
So possible? Yes. Is it a good thing? Don't know about that one... it could force you to risk a lot.

I don't know if you're asking"Is it right or if it's possible.Yes it is possible and there is no law against it however"falling in love with your best friend depends on your self control.It is natural for two people,always close together(of different sex) to generate this strange feelings between them but the growth &development of this so called strange feelings depends on the individuals involved.If u donot want it,you can terminate its growth but it still depends on your self control

This is quiet common! Basically love is never at first site. That is infatuation love is when you come to know some good qualities of person and start respecting him/her for the qualities. you start feeling secured with him or feel happy .you start thinking about him and gradually have a feeling you will not be able to live without him/her or any feeling similar to that.

yeah it's easy to because, your best friend is usually the friend you are closest too and can open up to. so fallin in love with someone who you can be yourself with, open up to and just love been around, is going to happen. so yeah you can fall for ya best friend xx

Ya-but I'd stay best friends so you don't mess up your friendship. (If anything, go out with them as a "friendly date"-I take my ex-gf out often but we're just good friends.)
