So i'm almost 16. I've been talking to this guy online and over the phone for over a year and we have a pretty strong friendship. I've never met him before because we live across the country. we talked about him flying to my state but I would rather go there. So Is it worth running away next summer for a couple weeks to fly to a state across the country just to meet this 19 year old guy that i havent met?

(I know for a fact he's 19 years old)

I agree with fathead. You've already asked this question before, & people have told you what a bad idea it is, including me. Are you just hoping to find someone to tell you to screw up the next several years of your life or possibly throw your life away altogether just to get laid? Okay, here goes.

Please screw up your life or throw it away altogether just so you can get laid. It's really worth losing your parents' trust & your own self-esteem just to meet this guy so he can take advantage of you & toss you aside as easily as the condom he'll hopefully take the time to use on you, so you don't get pregnant & become a burden to the government's welfare system by bringing an illegitimate child into the world that you can by no means hope to support at this stage in your life. Of course, you may not live long enough to deliver, since this guy may be a psychopath who hopes you will visit him so he can chop your body apart, put it through a wood chipper, & feed you to his dogs like some cans of Alpo. Or perhaps he'll just give you an STD which may either kill you slowly or ruin your social life forever. Then, there's also the potential risk that your father will go to jail because he will track you down by any means necessary, & give this guy a 12-gauge buckshot enema, leaving your mother to blame your irresponsibile, juvenile choice as the reason your father is in prison getting Roto-Rootered up the back end by Bubba while she tries to make ends meet at home. Yes, this is all sounding like a perfectly good, well thought-out plan that could have no potential negative consequences whatsoever, & you should definitely pursue this endeavor. After all, you can help get a guy off over a thousand miles away who is so pathetic he can't get laid by girls where he lives, & you have a very slight chance he might last long enough to give you an orgasm in the process, but you'll more than likely be blessed with disappointment & a mess to clean up. What could be more important than that?

Alright, there you go. You now have someone telling you to go through with your plan. More than likely, you can't afford to go through with this, anyway, so there's no point in worrying about it. You won't be able to buy a plane, train, or bus ticket without your parents' consent even if you could afford it, because you're a minor, & your friends probably aren't old enough to drive you. Therefore, your only hope is to hitchhike across country, & you will probably get picked up by guys who will threaten to drop you off in the boonies unless you suck them off, which you'll likely have to do to get money to feed yourself on this trip anyway. And that's if you're lucky, & a murderer doesn't pick you up, rape & sodomize you, & leave you for dead in the middle of nowhere. So, unless you steal money from your parents & hitchhike with perverts & possible nutcases, chances are you can't do this until you are at least a legal adult anyway. There, in a nutshell, is a cold, hard dose of reality: it simply can't be done.

Right here in America, young girls, teens and women are abducted every single day and sold as sex slaves in other countries; this country. Many of them are lured from their home towns,
clear across the nation with promises
of a career in acting and modeling.
For some it's companionship and even marriage.
This all begins with those innocent
chats on-line.
These predators use posers (a person
or persons whom the intended victims
can identify with and connect with; such as some one of their peers, I.E.
your friend).
Not to say that this is your situation, but why risk losing your life or liberty
for an absolute stranger?
Be prudent, who does the type of thing you're considering without having
some sort of death wish?
People always think that bad things happen to every one else. And they always give the worst people the benefit of a doubt.
Don't be a statistic.

Alright, you're sixteen (so am I btw :) ) and you want to...run away ... to fly across the country (a matter of money not a problem eh? I dunno about you but I don't get that kind of allowance..) to meet a guy three years older than you (which is illegal) that you've never met and just chatted on the phone with...and...stay at his place? Ok I sound repetitive, but are you really reading what I'm reading here???

YOU ARE BLOODY INSANE!!! Obviously, this guy is going to demand sex and you are going to have to give it to him. What else do you think a 19 yr old wants from a 16 yr old chick from online who wants you to stay with him???

Please, please don't do it. Please, haven't you watched enough CSI or Law and Order episodes to know how this is going to end???

PLEASE DON'T BE STUPID DON'T DO IT

There will be other men who seem just as wonderful..except they will be for real. Just wait ok?

I have fallen in love with the guy I have never met in person. I hope I will meet him this summer. So I will know how it would be. I had the same dilemma like you. After chatting almost a year with this guy, I realized that meeting online is a new way of meeting someone new. I guess it was the same to our grandmas to get to know somebody in the caffee-shop. It's a step forward. Good luck! :)

Oh Jesus Lord. Please no.

P.S.- How do you "know for a fact" that he's 19?

Even if this idea wasn't dangerous it would still be pathetic. It would be a dangerous idea for me, and I'm 30. Not to mention the fact that your parents could charge him even if the two of you don't do anything physical. Of course he doesn't want to come to you. That would cost him money and mess up his plans. Not to mention possibly land him in trouble. If he really cared about you, he wouldn't ask you to fly to see him on a plane without your parents' consent or knowledge. If the two of you want to meet, have him come to you, and meet your parents so at least they'll know where you are and who you're with in case something happens. What would you do if you flew there and he turned out to be crazy or things just didn't work out? Where would you stay? You'd be trapped.

NO!! Have you not heard about a thing called "rape"? You're vulnerable enough as it is, if you go to another country, then what are you going to do if this guy turns out ot be a creep? Never NEVER go to see anyone you meet online! You'll end up like one of those CSI cases quick.

I think you should ask the question over and over again until you get nobody telling you that you are a fool. Then you'll have an answer that you can agree with.
