Stay away from them as far as possible. They claim to follow the way of Rasulullah but they are great men of bidaat whom the great Muslim missionary who passed away in the 50's Maulana Abdul Aleem Siddique fought hard against.
They started in India, all fine in the beginning, but got strayed along the way.
They travel in far off lands in the name of doing mission work, but they leave their wives and children behind, sometimes without financial support, for months. This is not Islam as Allah told us to take care of our family first and foremost.
More dangerously, they have little much knowldege in all the branches of Islam to qualify them as missionaries. They discourage the learning of the Ahl Sunnah wal Jamaah books, and say that all the great scholars of Islam of the past are wrong.
Maulana Nurani Siddique the son of Maulana Abdul Aleem Siddique said they are robbers of light as even an innocent Muslim who sits and listen to them gets light or nur taken off from his face. If you look at their face, they don't have the light of nur typically present in the faces of holy or pious Muslims, but they have a dark countenance reflecting the diseased condition of their hearts.
It is the nur that attract peoples of the past to Islam. Since they preach intolerance, and hate for other sects of Islam, only the unfortunate ones get influenced but are mostly instinctly rejected by other Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

Tableegh is not a name of a jamat. Its an arabic word which means to preach what you know. And PROPHET MUHAMMAD PEACE BE UPON HIM was the one who started it.and he said that preach what you know from me even if its a single ayat. And in another hadees he narrates that no home will be left big or small but that ALLAH will enter deen islam inside it. So now the Prophet peace be upon him has left this world and now its upon the muslims to spread the islam. So now those who are taking part in this work and spreading the islam are called tableeghi Jamaat
