I've been a pagan for about 20 years or so, and a Witch for about a year. It took me a while to make the commitment and learn the steps.

I have been a Wiccan since July of 1971, a bit over 36 years. Before that I was a Catholic from birth. I just couldn't swallow all the hate, guilt and concept that ALL people are sinners by nature. I have never deliberately hurt another person since I stopped being a child and in the Military. It simply doesn't feel right to be that way. YEt, the Christian Religion seemed to stress my"sinfulness" and I never FELT like a sinner. Wicca gave me unconditional acceptance of ME, just for being ME. I felt comfortable with that and was dedicated in July of 1971 by Laurie Cabot, of Salem, Massachusetts. A very interesting woman, but a bit too political for my tastes. So I went the way of a solitary Wiccan in 1979 and have been solitary/Green Wicca ever since.

I can't honestly say that I accepted any faith-based belief in my life, so I guess the answer here is: I've been an atheist all of my life.

I was raised catholic...from pre-school until 8th grade. I spent quite a bit of time in spritual pursuit until I was approximately 21. With the exceptions of a few tenants held by the faiths that I studied, none of them made a lasting impression or filled the 'spiritual void' that I was made to feel that I had.

My research wasn't limited to only 'holy' writings; rather it encompassed many different aspects, including science. Ultimately, logic dictated that I was indeed an atheist.

I've been wiccan for the past 4-6 years, but I was raised christian. I 'm currently deistic/agnostic or something, but still a little wiccan.

I have been an atheist since as far back as I can remember (obviously I didn't know I was an atheist). The whole concept of god seemed absurd to me even back then. I went to church once with my mom at 8-9 years old (I think she went 3-4 times) and got in trouble for asking if anyone actually believed the genesis story.

I think I've been an atheist all my life, but I was brought up as a catholic till aged 14/15, then I told my mum I wasn't going anymore. So, roughly about 27 years.

I'd been raised a Catholic and then I became an atheist somewhere between ages 16 and 17. I've been an atheist ever since. Goodness, I've been an atheist for over 7 years. I hadn't thought about that recently... thanks for bringing it up!

2002 became a baptized Christian.

2006 acknowledged that I evolved into a Christian-based Fusionist. I like that. It really works for me.
