Avocados are actually fruits. Many people think that they are veggies. D'you know that the peanut is not a nut, it's actually a legume?

Fruit. It has a great big seed. This question seems to be asked at least once a week. It is the ripened ovary of a plant therefore fruit. A darn good tasting one at that.

They are classed as a fruit. Hence, one of it's other names - alligator pear. Just like a tomato is a fruit.
Nectarines, peaches apricots and the like have large stones as well.

it is a fruit actually, coz you can osterize it and put some milk and chill it. wallah! you have an avocado fruit shake! its has a healthy content must i add. try it.

Veggies don't have seeds...

So avacado, tomato, cucumber, etc.... are fruits... :)
