Nope, avocado is a fruit. It has a big seed.
http://www.avocado.org/about/fun_facts.php
Also, "Botanically the fruit is 'the developed ovary of a seed plant with its contents and accessory parts, as the pea pod, nut, tomato, pineapple, etc.' or 'the edible part of a plant developed from a flower with any accessory tissues, as the peach, mulberry, banana, etc.'"

Avocados are actually fruits. Many people think that they are veggies. D'you know that the peanut is not a nut, it's actually a legume?
