The other day my camera was being glitchy (it kept telling me to turn it on & off again) and because I am a normal person, I thought hitting it would be a good idea. Except this time, I smashed it down on my lap while the lens was still out and now it won't zoom correctly. To get it to work as if it were at 1x zoom, I have to zoom it up to 3x and manually turn the lens out myself. If I go back to 1x, the lens goes in completely like it would when turned off. Anything between the two is extremely blurry. I've only had this camera for a year and my dad is going to get mad if I tell him I broke it, is there any way to fix it WITHOUT having to return it for repairs?

Good grief! I hope your dad finds out the truth. Then I hope he makes you pay for the repairs.
