In 1887 through 1930 did a person living in the Canton of Zurich register for Cival registration in the Zurich Cantonal office,or their District office or ther Muncipality Office?Where are those reocrds now?

Do you think/know, that the person gained the Swiss citizenship in those years? What more do you know about that person?

It would be much easier to know the village the person lived those days. As the village municipality definitely has all information, it should be possible to get the data requested.

The districts probably don't have much material, rather then the Canton itself (see second link). Their relevant department is reached directly with the third link (Staatsarchiv; use "Kontakt" - e-mails in English will be answered as well).

They should still be archivated in the offices.
