of my 15 year old niece who is currently in another foster home along with her two other sisters? I am her mother’s identical twin sister, or Aunt, and the foster mother doesn’t like my neice, so she complains about her to the social workers so that they will remove her from the home. However, by doing so, they will be tearing her away from her sisters whom she loves very much. She is a good kid, a victim of abuse at the hands of grandparents, and I want to intervene before this really messes the poor kid up. Any suggestions?

They went to their grandparents on the fathers side in another state. This was 9 years ago. At that time, I had two children of my own, and lived in an apartment. I tried to get all three girls, but a very biased social worker who didn't care for the girls mother very much, squashed them coming to live with me because I look like their mother, I'm her twin. They said it would hurt them to see me. And they were afraid I would give them back to her.

I you can prove capability, and you're family, a court would probably prefer you over a foster home.
Are you sure you're ready to take on the load of caring for a teen???

Contact the social worker & let her know you are interested in becoming a foster parent if your figure prints check out o/k and you have enough of room in your home things should be fine O one more thing your husband has to take a figureprint as well and he must have a clean background also If you or your husband have a minor past you can ask for an exsempton. Why did you allow them 2 go 2 foster homes in the first place.

Anyone can get custody of anyone, honestly. If you wish custody, consult a Family Law attorney. They generally give free consultations, and you'd be a fool to face the state without a decent lawyer.
