They're just like a bunch of little dark dips in my skin that covers my nose, but I'm not quite sure exactly how to describe them. I'm a teen, so I think it might be a result of the acne that I've had in the past (I'm clear now, thanks to ProActive, but that doesn't seem to be helping here). My friends have them, too, so I know it's not a really unique thing. Any suggestions?

You are describing blackheads. Blackheads form when a pore is clogged by old skin cells & dirt. The skin's oil gets trapped & oxidizes, causing it to look dark.

It helps to exfoliate/clear away old skin cells. You can use a face scrub or mix a bit of baking soda w/ water to make a paste. Gently rub it against your skin & rinse.

You can use Biore pore strips or you can make your own. Here's how to DIY:
1 T Knox unflavored gelatin
1-1/2 T milk

Mix two ingredients and microwave for 10 seconds to slightly warm. Using a clean cosmetic brush, apply to nose and chin area. Avoid delicate eye area. Rinse brush immediately. Allow mixture on nose and chin to dry for 10-15 minutes. Mixture will dry quite stiff and form a "stiff film." Peel off the film and stare at all the little porcupine quills that used to be in your nose pores (one of the chief entertainment factors with B'Strips!).

Facials also help. You can go to a salon for a pore cleansing facial or give yourself a facial.

i assume you mean large pores or blackheads. There are a few things you could do.
Get a facial and speak to a beauty therapist
buy a deep exfoliator (try to get your hands on dermalogica) and exfoliate twice a week.
Get a skin care routine.
Use a 'drawing masque", it will draw out all oil or sebum in the blackheads.
There are alot of reasons you could get these, it would mainly be the environment around you, your homecare routine (always cleanse, tone and moisterise - twice a day and apply a sunscreen in the morning), or your lifestyle (do you do alot of sports?). You would get rid of them completely, but they can be minimised by a great deal so that you cant see them with the naked eye.

The holes are called pores, and the dark part is dirt in the pores. Sometimes these dark dips are called impurities or blackheads. You can use a Biore pore strip or Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub to clear out the dirt and your skin will look much clearer.

1] Those are blackheads or clogged pores - caused by dried sebum [ skin wax ] or oil clogging the hair follicles. 2] buy a pore clearing cleanser or face wash - use AM and PM 3] use oil free sunscreen [ AM ] and moisturizer [ PM ] 4] buy non-comedogenic [ doesn't cause zits ] makeup ONLY

sounds like your pours are just big and you have black heads. they are hard to get rid of on your own so i think for a few months try pour strips....it may hurt a little but maybe im just a loser but it's so cool to see the dirt come out of ur pours. also try a blackhead scrub and/or a pour scrub for a few months and if none of that works see a dermatologist.

I think you mean blackheads? You could use an exfoliating scrub. Neutrogena has lots of them. Or put your face over some steam then wash it right after with cold water. That usually gets it out.
