Am I being selfish?

Question

I met my boyfriend at work. I've been with him for about 6 mos. His job requires driving all day cuz he's a tech. I just get to see him an hour in the morning, and communicate with throughout the day when he has to call the office. And then I'll get to see him after work sometimes. Sometimes I feel like he's embarrassed of me or he doesn't want to take me out anywhere. Or he's being too cheap. I'm always initiating going out. But rarely does he do. I know he's tired sometimes. But then he goes to the bar with his buddies with no hesitation, then at night he'd call me back. Which he did twice in a role when I had told him I wanted to do something. And the next day he's broke for me. I understand guys need that space. But what about me. I want to be able to be like the guys. But he says he doesn't want to take me to the bar and drink crazy. He likes me cuz I'm "innocent". What should I do w/o complaining.

you just cant sit there and wait for him to tell you what to do. you both have your life but it seems that it is him that is being selfish. you should be sharing things together to enjoy each others company. you may try to seem to explain to him your side in the most non-complaining way but its not your fault anymore. It is the relationship between the two of you, not unless he has other ideas for it. talk to him.

As your a girl you can't be one of the guys. He is just not a guy who goes out on dates. You could try suggesting dates and see if he takes the bait. Remember you want quality over quaintly...better to have a good date a week instead of a bunch of bad just hanging out together.
