ignore the butthead answers you're gonna get. like every place in the world, the USA has its ups and downs. there's other things to fix in other places like there's things to fix in america, in the end, what we should be doing is trying to make the whole planet a good place to live, not just our countries, because people past a certain line are still people....=) so is the united states really that great? it's part of the world isn't it?

i'm fascinated what you got here across lacking in England, Italy, Germany and so on that wasn't lacking interior the states. All of those international places are merely as prosperous, democratic and correctly more desirable using fact the states. all individuals have friendly human beings and diverse custom. In Europe we've a deeper history and history and a few international places have performed a greater section interior the form of the widespread international than the u . s . a . has. extremely some the loose international even have properly experienced proffesional militaries, France and Britain have Nuclear weapons. In very almost each and every factor they are equivalent to the states and yet some human beings interior the u . s . a . % to look down on them using fact they have a greater u . s . and interior the no longer likely journey of a conflict they could in all threat win. i like individuals and that i like the country yet i do no longer think of this is from now on powerful than something of the loose international. for my section i'm British and that i could say i've got have been given merely as a lot reason to be happy with my island u . s . as you do to be happy with yours, if not extra.(in case you % to argue approximately that bypass onto my profile and digital mail me) the version is that Brits have an inclination to be modest approximately it while alot of yanks bypass around shouting that they have 'the appropriate u . s . interior the international', 'stay interior the land of the loose' and preserve 'the only surviving superpower' to make themselves experience above human beings from different international places.

If you believe that the Healthcare in France, Canada and England is better than the US feel free to go there for treatment. It is not true, just because Michael Moore puts in a fictumentary doesn't make it a fact.

It might be a good idea to ask the people who live in France, England and Canada if they would agree with that statement. The truth is that "free" socialized health care has a lot of problems. People who need surgery wait on waiting lists for months until it is their turn. The demand for services exceeds supply. Canadians who can afford it will visit a doctor or hospital in the U.S. and pay for the care out of pocket rather than waiting for their turn to be helped. A friend of mine has family who live in Canada. Her uncle died waiting for his turn to have heart surgery. In the U.S. as soon as his serious heart condition would have been diagnosed, surgery would have been scheduled, probably within a few days. Final question for you: How many people do you know - when faced with a serious health condition say, "I need to get to Cuba." I don't know anyone.

Compared to other countries America is heaven. The countries you mentioned are actually quite comparable to the U S.They too have many of the same issues as America. Some just come in a different form.No country is perfect.America isn't perfect but it's a great country and far better than some where oppression is a daily occurrence.

To the American people, yes. But to the rest of the world, no. Admittedly America is a great country that is why it is called the Land of the Free. However, that was a long time ago when America was home to thousands of immigrants who sought asylum because they were persecuted in their own lands. And now America is persecuting these very same people and more.

I pray that America will redeem the name it has been known for so many decades by so many people all over the world. Let it always be a land of the free and for the free. Let it be great once more.

They may have more free services, but I have a friend that lives in Australia that waited over 6 hours to be tended to. And they had a numbers system to work with. First come first served, and so on.

So it's the wait time that each of them have to go through. And if they haven't been able to get treated that day, they came again the next, and went through it all over again.

Simple answer: It depends.

Like all other countries, it needs some major work. (George Bush is definately not helping, either)

On the other hand, I probably wouldn't fare so well anywhere else. It offers a lot of opportunities that you wouldn't get in Mexico or other countries.

Why do people think that if Michael Moore says a fact, it no longer remains one? I would like for people to debunk the main points of Sicko. Oh right, they haven't even seen it. Goddamn, ******* dumbasses.

That movie is pure fiction...it did not say how long these people have to wait for this medical care. Want to wait 3-6 months for Dr. appointments vs. a day or two?
