The part that I don't understand is why he is biting himself in such a early age.

If he is going to throw a fit he doesn't need to have a treat. That is just rewarding bad behavior. I wouldn't have eaten it myself, but I would have tossed it in the garbage. When a child throws a fit like that they are usually over-tired and it is either nap time or bed time. My son turned 3 today and when he starts to throw a fit I put him in his bed and he normally falls asleep in less than 10 minutes.

"With all the online predators these days, I would not recommend posting pics of your kids in the bath online"
Errr, yeah. Because the baby-nappers are going to track him down...

I think you did the right thing. You didn't let a little baby walk all over you. I'd eat the slushie too, yummah. Next time maybe he'll realize that throwing fits doesn't get him anything, except for losing a slushie.

As for the biting...? Odd, possibly just an attention getting technique? As long as he isn't injuring himself, ignore it and see if he stops... If he gets more attention by hurting himself, then what does that teach him? To keep doing it.

I don't think that you eating his icey was a good way of teaching him a lesson. You should have just left it and told him that it will melt if he doesn't stop screaming and eat it himself.

As for the biting... he is young and doesn't know how to show his anger and frustration to the situation and he is just doing the first thing that he has thought of. If he continues using this as a way of getting what he wants then it would become an issue. You have to tell him biting is wrong, whether its biting himself or others.

With all the online predators these days, I would not recommend posting pics of your kids in the bath online.

As for the rest of your question, I'm not sure why you would eat the remainder of a popsicle that had been in bath water... the whole story seems a bit odd.

No, what you did was not fair...it will just teach him to take things off smaller kids and to be a bully....I think you were heartless....it will damage his trust in you.
