If you enlist, your full time job will be the military and you will not be finishing up school for a while.. not at all during Boot camp and training, and probably not right away once you hit the Fleet either, as you will be required to get Qual'd.

eventually, you may be able to take a class here and there and use Tuition Assistance. Afterwards, you will have the GI Bill, but that won't cover all of your expenses either.

If you go ROTC, you may or may not be offered a scholarship or contract, especially since you have already gone 2 years without being involved.

alternatively, you could take out loans, then enlist with a College Loan Repayment Program(not open to Officers though)

Check out ROTC.

Here is some info on the marines ROTC program:

This is a list of colleges and universities with NROTC units:
https://www.nrotc.navy.mil/colleges.cfm

The length, value, and terms of ROTC scholarships vary by service. All services offer four-year scholarships that include full tuition, books, fees, and a monthly tax-free stipend.

However, three-, two-, and even one-year ROTC scholarships are also available, which are all well worth inquiring about. Some services offer health-related or Nurse ROTC program variations, and the U.S. Navy even has an ROTC program at a variety of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

So you still have time to do it even though you have completed some college already. So look into it.

Good Luck

since youre a sophomore you couldnt get the rotc scholarships but you can still join... with rotc you could take out a loan but have the assurance that the military will cover it later on. you workout with them and take special military classes along with your college classes and then after you graduate college you serve active a couple years.. thats how it was for air force rotc anyways.. i dated 2 guys who did it.. and then married one.. haha :)

Look into ROTC. There are two plans with scholarships (at least for the Air Force if you are 26 or younger when you are commissioned): four-year (too late for that) and two-year (jr/sr years). The main difference is that field training is a couple of weeks longer in the two-year plan.

Nope -- you have to fulfill your duties before you get those benefits.
