i am very skinny so a tight dress only makes me look like a stick so a slimming dress is not really an option.

You don't want to get anything poofy. A large dress is going to shrink you and it won't look right in pictures. If you want a long train, then consider wearing longer veil.

The only way to see what looks right on you - in your eyes - is to go and start trying dresses on. A slimming dress may be your only option because you are so petite. It doesn't have to be strapless, but it should be more of an a-line with minimal amounts of crinoline.

Also, if you're worried about looking too bony, an off the shoulder look won't be good for you. Spaghetti straps or cap sleeves would be perfect and will cover up your shoulders just enough.

If you can't stop thinking about the dress, and you know its "your" dress--go for it. With both the fiancee and the dress--you just know which one is the "one". Also, remember that part of being a bride is that you get to wear a dress with a 10 foot train or a huge ball skirt and no one questions that fashion choice. You need to feel comfortable and beautiful. If you are having doubts about this dress, it may not be for you.

Since your wedding is outdoors, you might want to think about whether you plan on taking pictures before the ceremony. If so, you may have problems with grass stains on the train, and you should plan accordingly and have a way to take the stains out. You may also want to have your bridemaids help carry your train while you are walking around before the wedding. With a large surface area, a grass stained train would be noticed. Also, if you walk down a grass or dirt aisle you will have the same issues with the stains.

Another thing you should think about is that you say that you are not comfortable in strapless dresses because you think you are boney--if so, you may have the same issues in feeling comfortable with this dress.

I hear what youre saying about being skinny. The dress could be
fine, but the train may overwhelm you . Try not to rule out any style until you have actually tried it on. I am 5'6 and 105 pounds and I ended up getting a strapless dress, this dress gave me more shape than I actually have, without overwhelming me. You can see what I mean ...

So just try bunches of styles on until you find something. Good luck!

How about 1484 or 1224 styles...the extra pouf on the bottomm will give you some presence...I just don't think such a long train would work for an outdoor wedding...that's more for a cathedral-type of affair, IMO...have you looked at www.marysbridal.com They have some beautiful gowns that are a bit more towards what you're mentioning, and their prices are reasonable...good luck!

Great dress. I would be concerned about getting the train dirty with an outside wedding. And with you being so short, it maybe be too much dress...like all dress and no bride... how about the following numbers under the same website...
1649
1593
1224
1423
1755
1870
1127

Just some ideas.

My best friend is shaped like you, and got married in June, outside. A beautiful wedding, and sounded perfect when we planned it ON PAPER. The dress was gorgeous, and the train was a concern, but IN THE STORE it was no big deal.

It was no big deal UNTIL THE HORSE CARRIAGE CAME TO TAKE HER UP TO THE GROOM.

OMG. The train got stuck in the carriage door. We got it out, the little attendants that were supposed to help with the train tripped over it instead of helping.

They got tickled and laughed out loud, which made the Flower Girl laugh and she dropped her basket of petals, which made the Ring Bearer throw up his pillow in the air and scream (he was 3!!)

When the little attendants finally got the giggles over, and my friend turned around to check on the train, one of them stepped on it and RIPPED IT OFF! She screamed OH MY GOD and S*IT really loud and the whole place fell to pieces.

How could we not scream out loud after all that??? Even the minister laughed about that.

Reconsider the huge train. Or at least consider that you may be cussing before the wedding is over!!!

It is very pretty! I love the off the shoulder look. You will have a way to bustle the train so it is not dragging on the ground, it usually only remains down for the ceremony itself. So go for it if this is the gown that will make you feel special!

Look for a slimmer dress. That would overwhelm you.

you could always have someone walk behind you holding the train, maybe a child or 2
