God either wants to eliminate bad things and cannot, or can but does not want to, or neither wishes to nor can, or both wants to and can.
If he wants to and cannot, he is weak -- and this does not apply to God.
If he can but does not want to, then he is spiteful -- which is equally foreign to God's nature.
If he neither wants to nor can, he is both weak and spiteful and so not a god.
If he wants to and can, which is the only thing fitting for a god, where then do bad things come from? Or why does he not eliminate them? - Epicurean paradox

God is neither weak spiteful nor uncaring, all that you say in your question is foreign to God's nature (John3:16) God loved the world so much that he gave his onlybegotten Son in order that everyone exercising faith in him might have everlasting life. He is bringing a solution to all the problems that are upon mankind today, but his solution is not visible to humans because they cannot see spiritual things, and how many are there today who are exercising faith? Even Satan knows that God is powerful, therefore he never challenged God's power for he knew he had no hope against God's power, rather Satan Challenged God's right to rule over mankind and that he could turn every human away from serving and staying faithful to God this is where bad things come from, from people listening to Satan rather than God. Yes God will eliminate all evil and all who follow evil ways, but he will do it in the way that is best for all concerned, but this is something that mankind cannot see, that God is doing things in preperation to achieve his goals in the best possible way and solution for all of the bad things that we live with today(Revelation21:1,2,3,4)Humans can only see this by getting to know God well,by learning about him from his words in the Bible, without this knowledge it is impossible for them to see this.Satan knows that and it is the reason, he encourages people toother interests that lead away from getting to know God. Unfortunately he has had a great deal of success. The way the world is now is the way Satan wants it to be, few people know God well and follow his ways, instead most of the world do things Satans way.

You draw several conclusions here. First, you are assuming an absolute standard of good and evil. Second, you are assuming that any decision to not eliminate bad things is spite. You assume that God must be personal, benevolent, omnipotent, self-aware, and concerned with human affairs. You make assumptions about the nature of God (and what is foreign to it), as well as what is "fitting" for a God. You presuppose a God that does not fit the theism of Buddhism, Taoism, Deism, Apophatic Christianity, Gnosticism, and whole host of other theistic models.

Shows a clear lack of deep thinking.

The bible states that God created "even the wicked for the day of destruction". What God knows, and the Godly reasoning that is behind what he does, and doesn't do, are far beyond us. Remember, this is the God whose intelligence is so far above ours that he created all of existence just by speaking.

Here is the logical problem with your premise:
"If he can but does not want to, then he is spiteful -- which is equally foreign to God's nature."

This is an assumption with no basis. It does *not* follow that he is spiteful just because he can, but chooses not to, eliminate what seems to us to be "bad things".

Please, pain and suffering are all caused by our sin? So childhood cancers are caused by human sin? Tsunamis and other natural disasters that wipe out huge numbers of people indiscriminately are caused by our sin? No, don't tell me the devil did those. Whats even worse is those that suggest God does intervene to address pain and suffering in their lives while ignoring others. So whats the deal with the family that prayed over their premature infant in the Newborn ICU unit next to my sisters? Their baby died while my sister who doesn't believe in prayer brought my nephew home. Was God just testing them? Will he test those with something awful who claim he helped them now? Why is it when things happen to work out the way they want some people will say it was God's hand in their life? Yet when things go wrong they justify it away with excuses? People just keep making up reasons to believe because it fulfills a psychological need.

Epicurean paradox does not apply to God. Why? Because it does not allow for God's love, and emotions towards us. Just like a parent does not always make life easy for a child so that that child can grow and mature into an adult, so too does God not always act according to our desires.

Besides, didn't Epicurus live before the time of Jesus? Because of this he could not have known of a possible amswer to his riddle.

Okay... we are each a little piece of God stuck in a physical body. We create our experiences through our thoughts... we attract our learning experiences, both good and bad.
When we have actually learned the lessons we came into this physical life to learn, we get to move on to another set of lessons. Physical life is one big classroom.

When a person seeks to develop that little piece of God within us, and connect to the greater Source, then we become powerful conscious co-creators.

In other words, watch your thoughts and attitudes as they play a powerful part in creating your own reality. Take responsibility for your own creation.

You've been thinking, wow very inserting.Since I've been alive good things happen to good people, and the bad person seams to get away. I don't blame God(u asked a question that's there's no answer to.) Why doesn't he eliminate them. Bad things come from bad people, the world is made of good, and evil. Why not think a little deeper more on the positive side?

The Christians will feed you all the bs about God's plan, that because Adam and Eve eat a damn fruit we are in this predicament and he is just waiting for a couple thousand years to do something about it, in the meanwhile millions of people suffer BECAUSE OF HIS SUPPOSED TO BE GREAT PLAN. Yeah, right!

I can tell by your convoluted questions that you are not a Christian. I think you just want to observe some confusing answers by some Christians to your confusing questions.

If however, there is some spark of honesty in your questions, I would suggest first, that you acquaint yourself with the Triune God's character and attributes. And, that entails reading the Hebrew Old Testament and Christian New Testament Scriptures.

Your very questions are human reasoning attempting to hamstring the Triune God, who, according to His very nature and attributes, towers above and beyond human reasoning. Don't allow yourself to be so small and stupid as to continue these types of questions.

I would suggest that you read the New Testament Gospel of John and acquaint yourself with the Christ of the Scriptures. By reading the sayings of Christ, you can acquaint yourself with the Triune God's purpose for human history, including your own.

If you are referring to bad things that happen on this earth during our earthly life, these bad things happen as a result of the original sin, or the fall of Adam and Eve. God banished Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden to begin the human race in a harsh and unfriendly world ruled by satan. All you need to understand about God is that He is the creator of all and He decides who goes to heaven and hell when they die and that you better be very fearful of Him.
