If it's non-violent and as long as you meet the other requirements (physical, educational, etc) there is a VERY good chance you can get a waiver. Ask your local army recruiter. Don't worry, the army will pretty much take anybody now.
Good luck
Edit: I misread the first part of the question. However, there is more good news. After the start of the Iraq war the Army decided that people with out a High School Diploma/GED can join as long as long as they study for it. Also you could probably go to a local community college and take a GED course.
Are you on probation/parole? Maybe your probation officer can help you get into a GED course.

At this point, just show up. The are taking anybody, God help us. Just know this - When and if you make it back, don't count on any medical help or benefits.. If you come back with a missing leg or hand or whatever, what will you do? Our Government won't do anything for you.. It's no different for those that have diplomas and have no felonies. I have a 19 year old son right now who keeps getting stuff in the mail from the Marines. And phone calls. Sorry - but this "Mommy" is stepping in to make sure her kid doesn't get screwed. Yea, sign up for duty and then get assigned how many more times, not what they promised. Sorry, if you want my son, talk to me first - the "mommy" factor is shutting you down. Sorry.

Depends on what the felony was. However, given the fact that you're neither a high-school graduate and have a felony conviction, I don't think they'd want you (nor would any other service). As the previous poster said, try the Salvation Army.

First talk to a recruiter. You will need a GED at least. As far as the felony, I know of someone who got into the Army with one it just depends on what it was, how long ago, and other bad paperwork on your record. Be up front and honest with them and the recruiter will me more helpful, good luck to you.

I am pretty sure you have to be a High School Graduate before the service will take you now days, and if you are in the middle of a felony case I know they wont take you.

Nothing...being found guilty of a felony automatically makes you ineligable to enlist in any branch of the service.

It depends on the degree of the felony. They'll take almost anyone with a pulse now (and I think the pulse part is open to interpretation.) Enjoy Baghdad.

get a GED AND 15 college credits for the education part.
for the Felony.. depends on what it was for, whether you are still on probation and whether or not you can ever carry a weapon. a Waiver may or may not be granted.

First you'll need to see if they will grant you a waiver for your felony, if they do you may have to agree to get your ged while in the military.

I don't believe you can join if you have a felony conviction. If it was when you were a juvenile, you may be able to have it expunged, but other than that, I don't think so.
