Pull dad on the side and tell him he has to get on the ball! Mom would love a special dinner out so she doesn't have to cook or clean up! She would like your dad to plan a special day for her at a local spa. How about a gathering of close friends and family? You could make the calls to get them to come and he can call and pay for a catered meal from her favorite restaurant.
A letter from you telling her how you think she is special and sharing a favorite memory of her would be a treasured gift, also. You gotta tell dad that mom needs some special time from him, too!
Best of luck in creating a memory for mom. You sound like a wonderful, caring daughter and she is lucky to have you in her life!

Talk to your dad and plan something big for her. Maybe ask her good friends over, decorate the place... so long its from you guys, she'll love it no matter what! Give her a day off, do the house work and all!
