That way they can hide their agenda which may not be so obvious by reading just one question or answer.

that's a choice we all have, even you. No, I'm not scared but I'm cautious as we should all be. Trolls aren't the only dangers out there in cyberland. I've had my email mucked up too many times to give away my privacy.

A few reasons- they're trolls and don't want anyone to know it, they don't want trolls going after their questions and answers, or they don't want friends and family to see personal questions.
