I've been to Australia twice this year and think the standard of living is pretty good in many respects, food is cheaper though I wouldn't say they have the choices we do food wise, they tend to live on take aways and junk food over there, not the fit and healthy country it portrays itself to be at all, you have to pay for health care if you want the good sort of care, houses are cheaper and bigger, you have to pay for the good schools like we do here, you have higher water charges than we do simply because of the climate and water shortage, clothes are cheaper in a lot of the high street retail shops, the Australians are lovely people and very laid back, but a bit too laid back when it comes to diet and health, its going to end up a bit like America if there not careful, a big obesity problem is abound unless the start to re educated adults.
