My mom frequently tells me that I have dialated pupils. What causes them?

Generally, pupils dilate when you are in low light, in order to let more light in. But your pupils can dilate when you are aroused, or possibly if you are on some drugs, which is probably what she is wondering about.

Dilated pupils are caused by over-extended conversing with, either a person of the opposite sex, sex, or sex with drugs.
Otherwise, ask your mother how she became such an authority on the subject. It could bring interesting nostalgic conversation to dinner table.

Some people's are just naturally a little bigger. But when you walk into a dark room they get huge. Just like when you're out in the sunshine, they get tiny. They also get large when you're high. Good question. Deserves a star! :)

It could be because you are in a dim light or bright light, or she suspects that your doing drugs. They dialate your eyes and make them look glassy.
