Oh, you'll fit in...no doubt about that. The issue might be how YOU would like it. If you come from a nice area in Vancouver, then AVOID the South Bronx or else it'll be a culture shock for you. That would be my only advice. The rest of the Bronx ranges from decent to very nice.

You will fit in just fine. Do you know what part? If it's in the South Bronx, it's more Hispanic people. Going North it's more Blacks and West Indian (Caribbean people who are friendly). I am pretty sure when you get to school, you will make new friends. Are you going to Bronx High School of Science?

there's a big difference between the bronx and 5th avenue..bronx is mostly lower middle class so don't go there all fancy as if you're in 5th avenue..anyhow almost everyone in the bronx is hispanic/latino so you'll run into a some non-english speaking folks..if you respect them, they'll respect you so don't worry ..just don't go to public school there cause it would be hard to adjust...

The bronx can be tough, but you didnt say what area. Some are better than others. Other parts are really nice. NYC is going to be a hugh change for you. Hopefully you can go to private school.

Out of all the NYC boroughs, the Bronx has real, down to earth New Yorkers and it has its own culture. The Bronx has a charm all its own.
