You can join the army and take classes on your own time. It takes a lot of dedication to stick with it, and shifts/deployments/change of station can interfere with your classwork. Some do manage it though. :-)

You unfortunatly can't do both full time. If you want to do something like that, I would join the Air Force. They deploy less (depending on the job) and they are very big on going to school. A lot of times you can get some time off work to go. Plus if you go active duty, Air Force pays tuition as long as you pass the course. You also get credits for the school you attend for military training.

Well kind of do it the other way. Join college and then the army at the same time. It is called ROTC. After you get your degree you will be an officer and the army will pay for your college degree while your at it (if you get their scholarship). This way you worry about your studies and not the army (until your junior or senior year and then when you graduate)
Here is some info on it:

You can also join the army as active duty and then decide to take college courses. This can be a bit longer as now your main concern is being a soldier not courses. But I have seen it be done. You can use TA Assistance:

http://education.military.com/money-for-school/tuition-assistance/army-tuition-assistance

Where they will pay your classes while you are active duty (you will be able to get the GI bill for after you get out and decide to finish your college degree). After you get your degree if you are still interested on staying in the army you can go what is called green to gold:
http://www.goarmy.com/rotc/enlisted_soldiers.jsp
http://usmilitary.about.com/od/armytrng/a/greentogold.htm
http://www.rotc.usaac.army.mil/command/Green2Gold/index.htm
http://www.rotc.usaac.army.mil/command/Green2Gold/index.htm#nonscholarOption
http://www.iupui.edu/~armyrotc/Green%20to%20Gold/green2gold.htm
Another option would be to go to college, get your degree (or at least 90 semester hours) and then enlist through OCS (officer candidate school). Here is some info on that:
https://www.infantry.army.mil/ocs/
http://usmilitary.about.com/od/armytrng/a/ocs.htm
http://www.armyocs.com/portal/index.php
http://www.goarmy.com/ocs/index.jsp
https://www.hrc.army.mil/site/Active/opdistacc/OCS/OCS_FAQ.htm

You sound like you might want to take the first option. Go ROTC. You can go to the websites, talk to a recuirter (remember though to sign nothing unless you are sure of what you are signing) or go to the college you are applying at and ask them about there ROTC program.

Good luck with what ever decision you make.

I can tell you right now that you would not have much time to go to college if you join the active army.

That would be the good thing to do. They will pay most, if not all of the tuition for classes taken while you are on Active Duty.
Be sure to sign up for the Montgomery GI Bill, which will give you alot of money for college when you get off Active Duty.

not really, you cannot be full time Army and full time college at the same time. you would be able to take a class here and there, or test out of some subjects, but that is it until you finish your enlistment.

You can do college online but i doubt you will get any done. Active duty soldiers are extremely busy. I have been in a year and still haven't been able to start my classes. And Iraq doesn't help. So my answer is no most likely not.
