I was in the car and I saw a really cute dog across the road. It has ears pointed up on top of its head and it had a longish tail. It was white and fluffy and has a fluffy stomach. It's a medium sized dog. It had round black eyes and a medium snout. I don't think it's a samoyed, retriever or collie but it's really cute. Please help me find out what it is. I hope these descriptons are helpful!

American Eskimo, formerly called the spitz. Here's a link:http://www.akc.org/breeds/american_eskimo_dog/index.cfm

You'd know if it was a Samoyed. It would be of a decent medium size and have upright, short, thick ears and its hair would likely stand straight out although females might not as much as males. It would have black, black eyes, nose and lips.

I bet it was an American Eskimo or other Spitz -type dog.

It sounds like it could be an american eskimo.. We had one a few years ago until it passed away.. There very friendly to their famly but very protective also..
If you want to check you can go to animalplanet.com and go under dog breeds and look up american eskimo and a picture will come up..
If that picture dosent look like it scroll down and they have dogs in the same sort of breed and look at them, they may be in the same family..
Hope i helped..
