I am looking to buy a new Nikon 17-55 F2.8 lens online.
Please give me an advice .

Check KEH, ADORAMA, B & H. These are reputable dealers. If you are in the USA and a seller on ebay claims to have a new Nikon 17-55 f2.8, ask if it has a USA warranty. If the seller says "It has a full manufacturers' warranty." go to the next seller. Chances are its a "gray market" lens - bought in Taiwan or Hong Kong or Singapore and then imported to the USA. The Nikon warranty is only good in the country it was sold in - meaning Nikon USA won't touch it. For service it will have to go back to Taiwan or Hong Kong or Singapore. This applies to other countries as well.

This is a discontinued model but is still sold all over the place. The least I've seen it for is $400US.

LoL. okay first you need to tell us where you are.
You can go to THAILAND. Because you can buy really good stuff (pantip Court-IT CENTER)
But I'm guessing ur not so close :S. then you can find a delivery service, OR, the best cheap option, Ebay.
But becareful... i wouldn't buy a lot of "good quality" stuff on Ebay....
