I would abandon them if they were like that. In my world thier is only one race....that is the Human Race.

We are all mixed breeds, no family has a right to judge.

No I dont think so, I mean this isnt the same case, but my parents are from South America- Caracas, Venezuela, I got married to a Hondurean we are still Latinos and speak spanish, but the culture and way of speaking is way different. My parents were actually very happy to have a different culture and someone from a different country become pert of our family!

No. (My) family begins with God. He is my first father. God would not abandon me if I dated outside of my race. As a matter of fact, God would (never) abandon me. So if my heavenly father would accept what I am doing, then what makes my earthly father or mother think that they could defy God's commandment of equality regardless of race, creed or color?

Nope, hasn't happened for any of 5 kids in my family.

But yes, it happens a lot. If you can make a serious commitment to the other person in a mixed relationship, then go for it. If not, the drama is not worth it. My first marriage had this problem. Unfortunately, my ex-husband used the opportunity to scam his parents out some big $$$ about it. I resent him because of his insensitivity after taking marriage vows......

Good luck!

Nothing anyone would say to my face ever, but you bet the difference would be there. People lie about everything, esp. divorce. After 10 years the dad is rarely in the kids lives, and these divorced kids a whole lot of the times have huge intimacy problems themselves because of the broken family. Society sells people a load of horse pucky.

I don't really think it'll happen, but I also think that some families are super crazy that would do crazy thing fro you not to have some out of you race. If that person makes you happy, then nothing matters but that.

No, I ended up marring someone out of my race, at first they were worried but 13 years later all is good. I found a good man.

Of course it all depends on your family, and you haven't provided sufficient information for us to answer you, except in generalities, but I would say no. I am in an interracial marriage, and my family is still around. (The only person who is uncomfortable with the situation is my husband, believe it or not. He does not like to attend any of the family functions we have because he is self-concious.) Your family may not be comfortable with the idea at first, but usually they come around.
