you would be saving twice as much money, is a better neigborhoood, and in a year or so i would be able to afford to buuy my own property.. im Very confused..

Don't do it!
We moved from NY to NC just to get away from my in laws. Then 6 months later the WHOLE entire family moved to NC.
They ALL live within 5 miles of us.
It has been hell ever since.
Favoritism with the grandchildren, his sister, brother-in-law.
We once were a very close knit family.
NO more!

sounds like a sacrifice worth taking. You didn't say you're moving IN with his family...just "close" to his family...if it's a better neighbourhoold..you will be saving twice as much money, and in a year or so purchase your own property....It's well worth it I would have to say. Set some boundaries with his family .......regarding just popping in at any time...they need to call first...etc.*
Enjoy* don't fret over this. Life can have it's ups and downs,...........go with the flow and stay relaxed. , it will all be worth it* ~Keep on smilin*~

From experience, moving close to in-laws is a bad bad idea. It will drive you crazy, and they can just drop by whenever they feel like it. I wouldn't do it. I pay extra to not live any where near mine.

What do you mean close to his family? Like in his parent's house or near his parent's house? Those two are very different scenarios.
