The way I broke my dogs from doing it was to say no and tap them on the nose, or to say no and pinch the dog's lip if it was chewing on my hand. Both are hurt a little, but neither causes damage. I find it works better than spankings. Squirt bottles also work wonders in training, but some dogs like to be squirt.

Here's the thing.. If you want your puppy to listen to you.. You have to be someone worthy of respect.. Someone worthy of respect.. Is NOT the person that spanks their dog.. That person is out of control, shouldn't own a dog, and basically has no clue at all on how to train and teach a dog anything at all.. Never hit your dog.. It doesn't teach them right from wrong, it teaches them that people are mean and can't be trusted......

What you do.. When your puppy bites you, you take his little muzzle in your hand.. You look deep into his eyes. with a very serious look on your face and in a low deep growly voice.. You tell him NO BITE.. You let go of his little muzzle and you turn away from him.. Refuse to play if he is going to bite you.. If he continues.. Get up and leave the room.. leave him to think about why you left.. If you stop playing with him because he is being mean, then he'll realize that he can't be mean with you.

Don't spank him.. Fools spank their dogs!

First of all....never hit your dog. It doesn't accomplish anything except the dog being afraid of you. Puppies MUST bite while they are teething. Make sure you have plenty of chew toys for him/her. As for biting you....gently grasp her muzzle shut with one hand, have her look you in the eye, point at her with your other hand, and firmly say NO BITE. Do this EVERY time. Eventually they get it. Worked with every dog I had.

give him lots of toys to chew on and there is a harmless nontoxic spray that you can put on your hands called bitter apple spray that doesn't taste to good .that helps too.
He also could use some puppy school (can't hurt) a puppy plays with you just like he plays with another puppy, it takes time and a little training to realize you are people not puppy

You flick his nose. I know it sounds mean but it worked for my puppy. You would think it would make it more mad but a flick in the nose mean that it did something bad. so right after he bites flick his nose. I am not saying he will stop biting right then. Try it several times and shortyly he will stop. Don't flick his nose hard.
