following a lie

A "lie" is something that is perpetrated intentionally.
I wouldn't go as far as to say that Christians are guilty of this.

"False wisdom" on the other hand is a form of Illusion instilled in ones early years, and is deep rooted in ones consciousness and is very difficult to eliminate.
This in my humble opinion is what Christians are suffering from today, a thing called "false wisdom". Religion sometimes takes a wrong turn as we have seen in many of the religions of the day.

The "Truth" is there for all to partake of, but if one does not understand the essence of spirituality and allows the mind to become closed, then "Truth" evades man.

False wisdom is a lower level of consciousness than ignorance. This is why the statement "Ignorance is bliss" is so important to understand. One has risen to the state of ignorance and it is indeed bliss to be out of the state of "false wisdom"
Think on this for a while!
