Mai,

Any time that people group themselves along the lines of belief in ANYTHING, all those outside that circle, will be looked down upon and pitied, or despised. Human nature. All of us, are most comfortable with those who resemble us most closely. When you add in the eternal potential of satisfying God, then it can get really ugly, really fast. History, both past and present, speaks to this pretty clearly. The numbers of people killed by religious zealots, cannot be reckoned. It goes well into the millions, and beyond. Here, is where the truth of the matter comes to light. Anybody who feels that they have a duty to kill, insult, question, disrespect, judge, or in any other way, bring harm to another, because of their religious beliefs, is an idiot. Period. In the New Testament, one of the Apostles, I'm not sure who right now, gives the definition of True Religion. Basically, if I may paraphrase, we are told that "true religion" consists of taking care of widows, and orphans. It says that any man, who thinks he is religious, should hold himself up to this standard. Most religious people, are deluded, dependent, and not ready for Truth. I say this, having been a religious person for many years, and with deep love for those within the "system" of religion. God, loves all humans as His children. All men and women, are brothers and sisters, all children of God. This makes us one family. As far as I know, no religion is teaching this. Until we all realize this simple fact, there will be division and strife. May we all learn it soon. Peace be unto you.....................

because the bible says that those who impersonate the word of God is bound to hell. Christians also dispute about which church Jesus established whilst on Earth. And Christians want to know which church is right and which one is wrong. Supposedly the first church ever established was the Orthodox Church, but that was based off early Catholicism. Protestants today deny this and they say Catholics altered the bible to make it seem as though they were the establish Church. But people discriminate for other reasons...reasons as petty as religious contradictions. Catholic doctrines say this, Protestant doctrines say otherwise. People today amaze me that they can continuously bash religions when they have never been a part of it. I used to be Roman Catholic and I am now non-denominational. I studied Catholicism for the better part of 10 years. I know what it is about, I have read the Book of Mormon, I have a grasp on the basic principle of Mormonism, and now I know all about non-denominational churches, specifically the Church of Christ....which is just like Catholicism except for minor differences. So I do criticize, but never discriminate.

It happens due to the very nature of religion. There isn't a religion in the wold that doesn't say "my religion is the only way to heaven."

As a result you are bound to have arguments due to this extremely narrow perception. In all honesty I would argue that being religious to one god is just a short step away from being atheist. Whereas we atheists disbelieve the existence of all gods those who are religious disbelieve the existence of all gods save one.

because we are all, unfortunatley, the human race: A race where acceptance means nothing and war is a game.... despite the countless discoveries throughout history, we have still not come up with a cure to a disease I like to call IGNORANCE

People are stubborn and intolerant. They refuse to accept any other way of belief, and think that other religions are a challenge to their own.
