First make sure t is a solid motor (doesn't burn oil or knock) then depends on year but assuming it is a carburetor model you need to start with a nice healthy high lift cam .460-.480 lift is good for a mild 302. Then some good aluminum heads, high rise intake, Holly 650, headers, that is an easy 300-325 HP right there, if you need more, build a better bottom end using forged pistons, crank, balanced, then yeah you can try supercharger, NOS........... Also remember that power is in the transmission and gearing as well. If you have an auto, get a shift kit and high stall converter, also make sure you have the lowest possible gears. You can have 500 HP and with the wrong gears and transmission you will get 150HP to the ground! Good luck!

well i would start off with a cold air intake for k&n for better airflow into the engine and should get a BBK throttle body or a four BBL from edelbrock. what some ppl overlook is the clutch fan (throw it out) and get a electric fan instead. now the more air going in should have an easier way out so a set of hedamen headers and some magnaflow muffler and cataliyic converter would really help with that. if you decide to change the entire exhust i would not suggest on having an exhust size larger the 2.5 inches.

The first place to start with a small block Ford is the heads. Most 302 run large chambers to lower compression and have small runners. I asked a guy who ran a performance shop that, he said they put a set of Trick Flow heads on a 5.0 'stang and got 100 hp. more. That was all they did, no other mods. Good luck.

Auto parts stores may stock a stroker kit which may means to pull the engine and do a resto rod as a rebuild.

the best bang for the buck is nitrous oxide. The kits are well sorted out now and offer a good horsepower to money ratio.

Try underdrive pulleys, a performance chip, K and N air filter and a charger.

What year and type of car is it in? This will help determine what you need to do.
