I am 5'5 and weigh 135 I am also 28 and have had 3 kids. Also, I don't know what your eating habits are, but it certainly wouldn't hurt for me to tell you that portion is everything. Instead of eating a whole candy bar, eat half of one, hell, eat HALF of everything you eat and you will never have a weight problem.Drink 8 - 10 glasses of water a day, green tea is very good for your body as an antioxidant and help subtly speed up the metabolism. Salads (without fatty dressings and cheese) are very good for you, chicken is the king of meat in my opinion, as long as you don't fry it. Avoid fast food entirely, and walk anywhere you can as often as possible and buy a 10 minute tae bo dvd on ebay. Drink diet sodas and juices (aka - cherry coke zero, sobe lean, crystal light, etc.) avoid sugar, switch to the 100 calorie snack packs, including popcorn. Eat apples, they are very filling! Cheese is an unecessary evil as well, so is milk, if you have to have it, drink the fat free kind. 100 calorie popcorn is a great snack. Eat turkey lunchmeat instead of a whole sandwich, etc. Eating is necessary, over eating is not. I also have a meal shake in place of a meal, I find it incredibly helpful at 3:00 in the afternoon.

Do you use the scale..its the devil. Instead measure inches lost by using a measuring tape. You may not be aware either of the exact calorie burned and calories intake.

This is what i do below.

Helpful Tips for weight loss:

1)A good way to loose weight is to use a calorie counter watch

Keep to a 1,200 food intake

Add 1,200 plus 3,500 (equals one pound of fat) ...and that is the total amount of calories you need to burn each day. Its actually really easy once you start watching the numbers and it doesn't seem like work or exercise. Its just a matter of changing the way you think about loosing weight.

I use this method when i gain some pounds. The first time I did this I went from 168 to 127

2) Most people do not get enough water in their system. Water is your body's principal chemical component, comprising, on average, 60 percent of your weight. Every system in your body depends on water. For example, water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues.

Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don't have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions. To determine if you are getting enough water use this simple formula.. Take your weight, for example 150 pounds and divide by 2. Take your answer which is 75 lbs and change it to ounces, in this case 75 ounces. That is how many ounces of water you need a day. Your body performs mostly on water. If you make sure you get enough water everyday your body will perform at top notch and your body will no longer have the cravings of junk food. You will have a better performing body system to help you work out and feel better thru out your day.

there is no doubt to me that u r consuming as many calories as what u are burning otherwise you would be losing some.eating less fatty foods isnt enough. you need to have some idea of how many cals you are eating. you(since you exercise ) would require approx.2000/2200cal.So aim to cut back 500cal a day. I guarrentee you will notice the difference with each passing week. Also make sure you drink trim or lite milk. dont drink any soft drinks unless there 'diet', and high protein foods along with low sugar foods will make all the difference. you can buy a cal counter book from book stores. they are cheap. then dont be obsessive with counting cals, but estimate and understand how much approx energy is in the food you r eating. good luck babe!

Maybe you are gaining muscle and that's why you haven't noticed a weight loss.... You might try something different like cutting carbs for a couple of weeks to jump off the plateau.

drink a ton of water!! ive been doing the same as u, an i just found out that All body functions only work at 50% capacity even when slightly dehydrated!! an the summer cen be the worst for dehydration, keep a water bottle with u at all times, and take a sip every once and a while, u may be dehydrated and not even know it. ive just been doing that along with my regular routine for one day, and all ready i feel like i have more energy! since dehydration can make u lethargic, perhaps thats one of the reasons we feel so lazy in summer! gud luck! *smiles* ♥

Don't worry about the numbers. Muscle weighs more than fat, so you could be losing fat and toning muscle while maintaining the same numeric weight. Pay more attention to your BMI (body mass index) and target body measurements (waist, hips, chest, thighs, etc.) Concentrate more on the aerobic than weights and good luck!!

you have not provided sufficient info. define exercising and eating right. many think the lifestyle changes that they make are sufficient to induce fat loss, sometime it is many times not. also it is typical for those that have been overweight a long time to have a harder time to get the metabolism to shift into a sustained anabolic state which is were the real fat loss occurs.
