i'm 14 years old, i'm 155cm (5") and i weigh 55kg. i have a BMI of 23 - that's in the healthy weight range (18-23) yet i still look chubby. ive excercised daily for 3 weeks now, and ive eaten healthier... yet i still look the same.

just wondering, does that sound heavy for my body (height/age)???

i'm the heaviest out of my friends (they're all about in the 40's), and i feel really embarrassed. i know we're all built differently... but its just so peer pressuring...

help

the BMI does not measure the body composition. for those that are not obese the BMI is useless as a tool to help indicate the current health status. the sole purpose of the BMI is to address the health risks that are associated with central obesity. if this does not apply to you then forget about the BMI and get your body fat percentage tested. you can have a low/healthy BMI and have a high percentage of body fat.
