I'm ready for Armegeddon, so we need more preaching work. The society explained every scripture in Revelation and Daniel, "the end of days" explaination of why we should tell everyone to go to the Kingdom Hall three times a week.Spend every minute of every waking hour to preach the good news of the kingdom as a witness TO THE NATIONS, then the end would come. There are billions of people who aren't making it to 20 years of age before they die of something and they've never heard of Jehovah. Why can't you send all the government heads a post card that Jehovah's people are going to inherit the earth or something? My whole childhood was consumed with learning the bible so I could preach the word to everyone, let them know Jesus is coming to wipe out the wicked and all earthly governments. The more I study history, the more it seems it will repeat itself for 5,000 more years. I could have been a doctor, why do Jehovah's Witnesses still discourage college education? 93 years away from 1914

Well as you more than likely know, we have used ads of varying sorts before. For the most part it is ineffective. It is much more effective and personal and personable to talk with people, interactively, and more directly.

Bc Jesus said to preach from house to house.
At 1 time the Witnessess' did,
send a letter to the heads of state;
or something like that.
This was back in the 20's or something like that.
I have Never Once heard any Witness discourage going to college.
And I've been going since 1994.
Now, in the Bible it does say that "man's knowledge can never exceed the knowledge u receive from God" its not verbatim. Not to say that higher learning is thought ill of, or discouraged. We do put great emphasis on learning to read & write well. Even learning more than 1 language.

Actually

Jehovah's Witnesses owned one of the first radio stations in the USA.

Jehovah's Witnesses made one of the first talking pictures, 20 yrs before 'The Jazz Singer'

What we have found is that personal, face to face contact is the best method.

I some times wish Jehovah's Witnesses did discourage college education.

Then I would have saved the money I spent going to college.

College education is a personal choice.

A major challenge faced by those preaching the good news is the extent of the territory—“all the inhabited earth.” (Matthew 24:14)

During the last century, many servants of Jehovah worked hard to reach new lands in order to spread the good news. What was the result?

Breathtaking worldwide expansion. At the dawn of the 20th century, preaching was reported in only a few lands, but at present, Jehovah’s Witnesses are active in 235 lands. The Kingdom good news is being proclaimed even to “the ends of the earth.”—Isaiah 45:22.

What accounts for such progress? Many things.

Missionaries trained at the Watchtower Bible School of Gilead and, more recently, upwards of 20,000 graduates of the Ministerial Training School have made a huge contribution. So have the many Witnesses who at their own expense have moved to lands where the need for Kingdom publishers is greater. Such self-sacrificing Christians—men and women, young and old, single and married—play a significant role in preaching the Kingdom message throughout the earth. (Psalm 110:3; Romans 10:18)

Another major challenge is the great diversity of languages spoken on earth. God’s Word foretold: “It will be in those days that ten men out of all the languages of the nations will take hold, yes, they will actually take hold of the skirt of a man who is a Jew, saying: ‘We will go with you people, for we have heard that God is with you people.’” (Zechariah 8:23) In the modern fulfillment of this prophecy, the ten men represent the great crowd, prophesied about at Revelation 7:9.

Fifty years ago the literature was published in 90 languages. Today, that number has risen to over 400. “The faithful and discreet slave” has spared no effort in providing literature even for some whose language is spoken by relatively few people. (Matthew 24:45)

For example, Bible literature is now available in Greenlandic (spoken by 47,000 people), Palauan (spoken by 15,000), and Yapese (spoken by fewer than 7,000 people).

No doom & gloom is preached purely the full certainty of Gods observe in the Bible. Armageddon is the top of Wickedness and a clean commencing up that brings eternal advantages for mankind - it is 'reliable information' & something each precise hearted guy or woman seems forward too. purely depraved hearted human beings & the JW haters say we carry forth 'doom & gloom' as they comprehend the bible is speaking approximately them, with the aid of fact of this they are going to be destroyed in the event that they do no longer replace there methods. save analyzing as you will see extra truths, and understand why human beings hang to lies!

Eventhough I am not a Jehovah's Witness one thing I do know is that Jesus was disciplined and humble....the only religious organization I know that resembles this nature....if more religions just had their code of ethics maybe the church members would be alot stronger within themselves.

TV evangelism simply isn't the best way to reach people. It isn't the most cost effective way to carry out the preaching work.

Think about it. What do you do when something comes on your TV that you do not want to see? Click Turn to another channel or turn it off. That's what I do. That's what the vast majority of people do when they have no desire to watch something.

Many newspapers used to carry sermons by C.T. Russell and J.F. Rutherford. In the thirties radio WAS used. WBBR, if I'm not mistaken was the radio station call letters.

I personally dislike billboards. I think they are eyesores and should be completely done away with.

they dont want to spend an extra cent on advertising when they have thier puppets on a string to do it. and they discourage college because that means more $ in the societys stupid little contribution boxes.
oh....and the way they treat bethelites and the cramped little spaces they keep them in is disgracful. they might as well employ hampsters. they already have them running around in circles

The simple answer is this: In a works-based religion like the WTBS, there needs to be lots of activity for adherents to earn their good standing before God. Door-to-door "sales" provides an excellent way to track the number of hours Jehovah's Witnesses are keeping busy.

With the advent of the internet, I'm kinda glad that they are not SPAMing everyone. hats off to them in not pursuing that avenue. However, I too have been wondering abouot why they have not explored other media avenues to send out their message. Also, is the 'magic number' still only 144,000 spaces in heaven? When or how is this number going to increase as population is increasing? Sounds like a bad deal and/or marketing that needs amending.

Hope this helps; these are only my views and are not to be construed as derogatory or demeaning in any way. I welcome your email referencing this subject.
