I am looking to buy an AWD..either the CRV or Equinox..not sure after all the different comments written about the two. ..need some good sound advice.

I would buy the Equinox, the american cars have made a lot of progress in the last few years. The Equinox was developed to compete with the imports and they are doing a good job of it.

The Equinox is a great car. It is a nice, compact but roomy SUV. It is the Editor's Most Wanted SUV for under 25,000. and I can clearly see why. Very decent Fuel Mileage is a must in these days. And the Equinox has it all. From a versatile cabin to excellent Crash tests, the Equinox has it all. It is actually one of the best SUV's in the compact field. Well, other than the Pontiac Torrent, which has the same excact features as an Equinox. It just looks a little different. If I were to buy a Compact SUV today, it would be one of those 2.

You're comparing apples to oranges. The Equinox is a whole lot more vehicle than the Honda. I'd go with the CRV as it's more fuel efficient, has a better resale value, and is cheaper to maintain. Good luck!

The Equinox. It is way more stylish and is good on gas. You should also check out the Equinox's cousin, the Pontiac Torrent. It has the same body and chassis, but is styled differently and has a better engine than the Equinox.

CRV. Period! The Equinox is a terrible piece of crap. The CRV is one of the best small SUVs on the road. Check out the ratings in Consumer Reports.

Go with the Honda....you will have better reliability for starters. Secondly, just off the top of my head, it PROBABLY gets higher miles per gallon. Third, as others have said, the resale value on a Honda will be higher than the GM product. You'll probably pay a little more for the CRV but in the long run it'll be worth it.
