I would avoid it myself. I have heard of it bringing on candida and fungal (tinnea) conditions. I have also heard that it is not a cure. You go on it and the acne goes away. You go off it and the acne comes back.

I would really look into nutrition and consulting with an alternative healer who would approach the problem from a preventative stance rather than a treatment of the surface condition. For example, acupuncturists, homeopaths, herbalists, etc.

Often skin problems are indications of deeper-rooted problems. For instance, your liver and or kidneys may not be working as efficiently as they could in removing wastes/toxins.

I took Amnesteem, a generic form of Accutane and it worked great for me. I know everybody's reaction to the drug is different, but it helped me tremendously and I didn't have any side effects. I went from nodules and huge bumps on my face to maybe a tiny pimple or two once or twice a month.

I found it worked pretty well for me. I have heard that this is not the case for everyone. I did not totally get rid of acne but it reduced it a lot so I was very pleased.
