Ever since my mom was diagnosed with Celiac's Disease (it's a gluten allergy, gluten is found in wheat, rye, barely, oats) she has been on an even bigger health crusade than before. She keeps trying to diagnose me with all these different diseases or disorders and blames the problem on my past diet but I basically eat what she does now,( which are veggies, fruits, and meat) and it hasn't changed my personality like she thought so she is still trying to label me so she can find out why we don't get along, when I think it is just because we are both neurotic and stubborn but she won't stop and it's really upsetting our whole family, what's wrong with my mom

What she is doing is dangerous. Ask her to take you to your Dr and tell him whats going on. He will explain to her how this isnt good for you.

I would talk with her and your other family members about it calmly and comfortably. As a newly diagnosed celiac she is probably VERY excited to have finally figured out what is wrong with her and she is realizign how many ppl DO have Celiac (1 in 133 so its understandable she worry about u) and she's probably very concerned if u might have it--which u could, its HIGHLY genetic. She may be in need of some support for her new diagnosis or maybe even further support to deal with any other issues she may have. Untreated Celiac can lead to mental issues so if she is JUST now getting diagnosed wtih CD and is just now starting the GF diet, she could still have some mental imbalance.
Remember moms and daughters fight. WHy dont u get tested for CD to put her mind at ease? (shes probably seeing aspergers bc many autism spectrum disorder children do the Gluten free diet. I dont know the situation so I dont know what u may or may not have!) But why not just get tested (u need to be eating gluten for test to be right) to show her if u do or dont have it. Then direct her to CD support groups such as www.csaceliacs.org where she can find local support groups and she can vent there? Just a thought.
Best of luck!

My daughter has AS, and believe me, you don't. Tell your mom that you fight because you are too alike and you are two women living in the same household. I'll assume you are not old enough to live on your own, so you may want to simply laugh off her attempts to make you sick. Sounds like you are pretty normal mother and daughter. I didn't really get along with either of my daughters until they moved out. I'm not responsible for their day to day now, and that makes me a whole lot easier to get along with. We have daily contact but at the end of the day, we each have our own places to stay away from each other in.

If you are living away from home now, stop answering your phone. Distance will help.
