My brother is staying in my apartment until his condo is done. Has anybody watched You Me and Dupree? Well he's the Dupree in my life. He sleeps on the couch in the living room, but still chooses to wear nothing but boxers to sleep with NO BLANKET! Sometimes his crack shows, and makes it hard to eat breakfast. He does nothing but watch T.V. and eat and also drink out of the carton or bottle. He hogs the phone, T.V., computer and shower. He doesn't clean after himself, he invites his friends over without me knowing. He's my older brother, but he's acting like a little kid. He criticizes me and picks on me about the most immature things, then we fight just like when we were younger. The only time he acts like a big brother is when I bring home guys then he scares them away. Any suggestions how to deal with my brother?
have you ever had a family member so annoying, you want to tell them off?

Have a sit down meeting and write out a list of expectations. What you expect from one another check out list at end of the week and whomever comes up short has to ante up.

i have had annoying family, but i just say what i think, as they do, so we have never been in that situation.
i suggest laying down a few rules...like he must clean up after himself, (and stop the other things, which i think arent a big deal) or he cant stay with you. but what you should do is stop worrying about stupid stuff! he loves you, you love him, so deal with it! just pick up after him!(it will give you experience for when you are married!)
as long as he has some sort of goal in mind, and doesnt plan on staying withyou forever, who cares??? and how can buttcrack make you not want to eat? my husbands crack is always showing!!!(and men ARE kids)
i think its sweet that he cares who you date...you should, too!
just don't let him kick out a good one!

Tell him to clean up his act or he has 48hours to move in with one of his friends. You are not a hotel, get some backbone and tell him to knock it off and have some respect for your home.

I would first of all tell him we need to have a heart to heart discussion and be up front honest and as loving as possible
don't what ever you do put him down personally

Tell him if he doesnt stop the crap he can find somewhere else to live til his condo is ready and that you are fed up. Mean it when you say it or youll be stuck.

Tell him to go and stay with one of his friends. Let him know he's not being respectful.
