Is this ok? I have two soy protein shakes a day along with 8 oz of lean poultry. Is it too much soy?

it's ok but not optimum for health. all foods have different nutrient profiles, higher in this and lower in that. to reduce the risk of any nutrient deficiencies it's best to vary your protein sources. try to vary your protein source with each meal

How does it make you feel? Do you become bloated or have difficulty digesting it? Also is it organic? Soy Protein Isolate is often separated with chemicals like petroleum solvents and the FDA does not require manufactures to reveal that. It's standard American practice to damage something natural that is orginally supposed to be healthy. I did some research because my friend would get sick from her soy protein shakes, and I started getting sick from protein bars and my sister and I started having difficulty with soy milk. We all started getting the symptoms we used to get with lactose intolerance. That's part of the reason we swiitched to soy in the first place. I would do some research on the web about soy. Go organic or have soy that is prepared in a traditonal Asian manner. Tofu that is fermented is a healthier alternative. Also eating yogurt with live cultures (I buy organic now) helps restore the health of the stomach so you can digest milk and other foods easier. No more soymilk for me unless it's Asian. I now consume organic, 70% raw, soy and dairy free protein bars. "Organic Food" bar brand. Vitamin Shoppe or Trader Joe's carries them.

30 grams is standard amount of protien you need a day but if you're trying to body build I guess you may need more. Drink lots of water because toxins can build up from digesting too much protein especially animal protein. Also don't forget calcium supplements as the digestion of protein takes a lot calcium from the body.
