there is also the possiblity that he is keeping you (or her) as a backup girlfriend. make sure he has no feelings for her anymore.

Don't Do anything. They are friends, he is with you and you have no reason to think the worst. Men and women can be friends and I think it shows he is a good guy if his ex still thinks highly of him. Just relax and have fun, what is meant to be wil be.

Don't jump into anything with him until you are SURE he doesn't want to be with her anymore. I.E. don't just rely on what he tells you. Think about how much she's around, how much you trust him, whether she wants to be with him and how much all of that bothers you. If you have doubts, don't feel bad about walking away.
