You should specify a little more. Are you talking about clothes? If so: check the weather with the site below.

Many countries don't need a visa but just a passport. If you come in car, you don't need it but you need a driver licence with your picture on it.

You need a digital camera to take a lot of pictures.

If you're referring to clothing, it depends entirely on the time of year and the region you're travelling to; Canada is an enormous country and the weather varies widely and wildly from one area to the next. Summer temperatures may be as high as +35 degree C and winter could be -35 degree C, with everything in between. It could be sunny, rainy, cloudy, snowy, etc. Of course, what you bring also depends on what you're going to do, ... camping in Algonquin Park versus, for example, the opera in Ottawa or Toronto, or a thousand other possibilities.

You could try simply bringing your passport, and your credit card. Buy what you need here; our economy would love that.

depends when you are going:
If you are going in the summer:
Take Shorts, a pair of Jeans or two,
Short Sleeves, and Tank top shirts, bathing suit
Sandals, Running Shoes,
All that normal stuff along with all your neceseties.etc etc
If you are going in the winter, take winter clothing like long sleeves and stuff to keep warm.

Have a Fantastic time. I am going Next summer to Toronto for the first time, i have a friend who lives there.

First of all, when are you going? You should check the weather in canada. I went once and it turned out it was raining....Pack nice and light, because it is easier. basically just bring anything you think you'll need. It's the same as any vacation, you won't really need anything special.
