The first step is to get rid of all the junk food in your house and replace it with healthy stuff. If you hate veggies (I suggest you start to like them...) then eat fruit. And stay away from fast food. If you eat there, you might as well slap it right on your thighs or squeeze grease straight into your arteries! That stuff is evil!

No... not liking "some veggies" isn't a problem. As long as there are some you'll eat. And if you like salads, make sure you use nice lettces, like romaine. No iceburg... there's absolutely no nutritional value. Eat fruits and other carbs in moderation, and keep the grains (bread, rolls, pita, English muffins, cereal, etc.) whole grain. Stay away from prepared foods. Keep it low fat with lean meats. White meat chicken, fish, turkey breast. Steak and pork chops can be quite lean too, but be careful... moderation is the key. Eat healthy snacks like mozzarella cheese sticks, apples with peanut butter. Natural peanut butter only. Once you get used to it, you'll never eat that other crap again. Also, hummus with veggies like gr. pepper strips, baby carrots. Try some new things too. Now is as good a time as any. And drink lots of water. We should really be drinking half our body weight in ounces (150 lbs = 75 ounces). If it seems like too much, then just do your best. Good Luck!

its really tough. I'm trying to cut out soda and chips but my wife keeps bring in them in the house. Depending on your age, it could be easy or not. With so many ads out there targeting young consummers, it is very hard to ignore them. I was a manager for McDonald's for 8 years. When I finally left, I dropped 14 pounds in 25 days. Start with 1 food and 1 drink to cut out. Sub them with something better. No pop. Drink a glass of red wine after dinner instead. Providing your old enough. Chocolate milk works for me. Sub your food item with something home made like fresh bread. Great to learn something new and the rewards are unmeasurable. Cheap bread or soup made at home and cooking healthy is a good hobby. Since your into junk food, chefs know the benefit of eating healthy. This is hopefully a good start on the road to healthy living.

Well giving up junk food is so hard and if you can do it then you should be so happy because junk food is so bad for you. You should try to eat as many veggies that you can and if you cant do that then get that V8 juice. What I do to not go crazy over junk food is to allow yourself to have at leas two junk food item that you love because you can have some but just in moderation. Good luck.

Find a motivation. Like a person you like or something..
and rid your house of junk food and stock up on fruits and vegetables so you won't have a choice but eat healthy food.

Start cutting back on junk food. Start getting used to eating small amounts of veggies with your dinner. And try eating fruits in the morning. Then gradually add more and more.
