Okay so,
A week ago, I just got my nipples both pierced.
I have been cleaning them everyday with sea salt soaks etc etc.
But then I was looking at them closely and there seem to be really tiny little scabby lines to the piercing holes, they look like they got a little tug or something....
Could they be rejecting? or is that normal?..
The piercer I normally go to is out of town for about 4 more weeks but if I have something to worry about i'm going to go to another to get the captive rings off.
I'm freaking out about them rejecting and just want to know as soon as possible.

Give me an answer and stop insulting me for getting them done in the first place you idiots, that's not helping at all if you have enough brains to realise that.

They are not red nor swollen either, and there is no pus seeping out either.
Just tiny scabs but it does look like they moved slightly.
My eyebrow piercing rejected after only a month, which makes me think that my body is very fast at healing.

Not looking for your opinion on the whole thing just looking for someone who knows about it, THANKS.

you could be overcleaning them and generally messing with them too much. if you clean em twice a day, preferably in the shower, after 10 mins. or so, so the hot water and steam will soften the tissue. everybody heals in a different way. as long as the discharge doesn't smell, you'll be fine....really.

and don't listen to those folks who're telling you to take them out. if it truly is infected, the discharge needs an outlet. if you take them out and they close, the infection will worsen.

yer fine though! don't worry! ;)

Well if when you got them done if they bleed then you just have scabs from the piercing. Keep up the soaks and cleaning if it looks like the scabs aren't going away in a week or two or it appears to be getting worse go to the doctor! I don't think your body is rejecting your piercings, but make sure that it was surgical steal that they used for the jewelry because bad jewelry can cause infection. I have mine pierced too and I had a small scab on one of mine from the initial piercing. You should be fine just keep a close eye on it!

You really shouldn't have a problem. If you end up breastfeeding your baby, keep the piercings out for the baby's sake until you are completely finished breastfeeding. My sister had her nipples pierced when she was a little younger and breastfed her first baby with no problem. Good luck! If you have any other questions, you should talk to your doctor!

I agree with "thehereyes" - give it some more time and take care of them.

I had mine done a couple years ago, and they were the most difficult of all my piercings (as far as healing goes). One of them actually healed up fine, but the other never did. Go figure.
It sounds pretty normal to me at this point, just clean them well, and be careful about activities that will irritate them.

Wait for your piercer to come back, and as long as they don't show signs of infection or get worse, then you should be fine.

:) Good luck.

I have had mine pierced for two years. Since you just got them piercied I very highly doubt your body is rejecting them that quickly. It's like any other piercing. It's going to be sore, maybe some puss. Nipple piercings are very difficult to maintain, and sometimes they can be a pain to keep healthy. I mean think about it, its a hole in your body that sooner or later might breast feed out of so it's gonna be pretty sensitive. Just maintain it, and when that piercer gets back if it is still being sensitive go back have him/her check it out. Don't go to another piercer they could get your money or tell you to repierce it when it won't even be worth it. So just keep it in, put some hydrogen peroxide on it and clean it with soap and water.

Totally normal. If they swell any larger of you see pus, then treat it with alcohol. It'll sting like a mofo, but that'll usually clear up a mild infection.

no clue - I kind of think they are gross - but to each their own - anyway - do they hurt? are they red? is anything oozzing out? it is such a funny area - you really don't know how they are going to heal. If they don't hurt or are not red then they maybe ok - just keep a CLOSE eye on them.

They've only been in for a week, it'll take more time heal than that. Just keep them clean and they'll be fine. Oh, and don't listen to these wussies on here, I bet they look hot.

I just don't get why some girls have their nipples pierced, I mean they don't look good IMO, but its your choice, but maybe you should remove them immedieatlley, cuz they might get infected.
