I just feel strain in my arms, they get tense after wards and I get very woosy doing them, even when trying to breathe right. Should I feel pressure in my pecs if the're growing? Doesn't excerising tear fibers in muscle and then they grow back bigger? So why am I not feeling stress there? How do I do push ups so that my pecs are doing the work?

well wat you want to do is get a flat surface like a chair or a table to put your feet up on, and then put your hands on the floor and do the push ups like your doing regular push ups.

When doing pushups, you should focus on how you do them and not how many you can do. Do your pushups slower with a full range of motion. It is better to do 20 pushups with great form than to do 100 with sloppy terrible form. Slow it down a bit. Take your time. Try doing 5 sets of 20 repititions. Results come with quality not quantity... When you get a chance google search ''Herschel Walker + pushups''.

wow you fckin nerd. 5 push ups arn't gonna make your scrawny chest bigger. Quit compaining and just keep doing them. But of course you'll probably go to the doctor for this. btw wimp, put your hands next to eachother and try to do a pushup

pushups are some of the best exercise for the body with the least strain

if your feeling it mostly in your arms then your hand are too close when you do your push ups. your hands should be slightly wider than your shoulders. do them slow and hold at the top for 3 seconds, then go down slow. you dont need to do pushups everyday. do them every other day or every third day. dont count how many your doing. just do as many as you can then rest for 2 minutes and do it again.

you need to improve your focus of feeling the target muscle during the movement. the lowering of the weight is where the muscle trauma occurs during resistance training. try to focus on squeezing the pecs during that part. flexing after training helps to improve the mind-muscle connection that is needed to achieve optimal results of muscle mass
