According to traditional Christian theology, the Church has been entrusted with what we call the "Office of the Keys," which means, among other things, that God acts through those called to the ministry, to determine whether forgiveness of sins is granted or withheld. So basically, the determination is made on this basis, and so it's not really your place to say.

All churches that reserve the right to excommunicate members technically believe in the Office of the Keys; but only the the sacramental churches actually speak of it in those terms.

A real Christian is one who has trusted in Jesus as their Savior, and has confessed their sin, and repented - a Christian also is in the process of becoming like Christ-it is a journey, so to say I arrived would be lying. I am praying that every day I do become more like Jesus- I think a REAL Christian is one that admits their weaknesses, because we have them, even though we are saved from sin- that does not mean we will never sin- and about church goers only- I pray that when I do go to church each week, God uses it to grow me more into the likeness of Christ.

Based on some of the questions asked and the answer given, I would say they are unlearned Christians. Christians are suppose to answer worldly question with Godly responses, but many time they answer with worldly answers.

Sin is never to be justified: it is to be repented of. The scripture say this: If I say I know Christ and do not keep his commandment I am a liar and the truth is not in me. Am I a Christian or a church goers, huh, let me think about that one.

God only knows. Really Christians go to church but so do people who are hypocrites, the tares that Jesus talked about.

Matthew 13:24 Another parable He set before them, saying: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man sowing good seed in his field. 25 But while the men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went away. 26 But when the stalk had sprouted and produced fruit, then the tares also appeared. 27 So the servants of the master of the house approached and said to him, 'Sir, was it not good seed you sowed in your field? From where then does it have tares?' 28 "He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.' So the servants said to him, 'Do you wish then that we should go and gather them up?' 29 "But he said, 'No, lest gathering up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. 30 Leave both to grow together until the harvest; and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, "First gather together the tares, and bind them into bundles to burn them, but gather together the wheat into my barn." ' "

When the Pastors are "sleeping" and not guarding the flock, the enemy infiltrates.

Matthew 13:37 He answered and said to them: "He that sows the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 And the field is the world, and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the evil one. 39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. 40 Therefore just as the tares are gathered and burned with fire, thus it will be at the end of this age. 41 The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who work iniquity, 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine forth like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"

Then again there are the Trolls here who just pretend to be Christians for reasons like stirring up trouble and trying to bring reproach upon the name of Christ.

I don't think you can generalize and lump them all into one category. There are those here who have a real relationship with Christ, have repented of their sins and received eternal life. There are those who think they are Christian because they do this or that; go to church, give money, try to be good, etc. There are some who are somewhere in between.

It;s not just here, the situation is the same in most any church you would choose to visit. There are, as the Bible says, sheep and goats.

Christian was a derogatory name given to early believers by unbelieving Jews. It was a label like a soldier claiming alligience like Herod's soldiers were called "Herodians"

For me I like to call myself a Nazarene or Follower of the Way

Act 24:5 For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:

Act 24:14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

They are just arrogant and ignorant individuals who have a need to feel superior to others by wearing and proclaiming a badge. Between 1936 and 1945 there was a similar group of individuals wearing brown shirts, drinking beer and marching to military music.

If they say they are Christians, then they are Christians. You shouldn't worry too much about who they are or what they do, that's between them and G-d.

I would have to see them in their daily life to have an opinion.

If they were more interested in loving people than in trying to get them to join their church, I would suspect they were Christian.

If they listened to others with an open mind instead of throwing scriptures at them, and worshiped God instead of their pastor's version of the bible, I would suspect they were Christian.
