I like what George Carlin has to say on the 10 Commandments.

What? Are you serious? If everyone followed the 10 commandments, our world would be perfection. Unfortunately, we are all human, so it is impossible to follow all of them.
I do not see how you could think the 10 Commandments are outdated. Do not lie? Do not murder? Do not falsely testify? These are outdated? I don't think you know exactly what the 10 commandments are.
How would you feel if someone took a picture of you, framed it, stared at it a lot, and showed it to others, but completely ignored the real you? God does not want to be treated this way either. He wants a genuine relationship with us, not mere ritual. God knows that if we put anything other than him at the center of our lives, we will not reach our potential and become all that he wants us to be.
