I think the government is testing the waters, putting out feelers via news stories to see if the public has an appetite for the draft.

Nope, haven't heard a thing. Quit making stuff up, and spreading rumors.

Even if they started the draft up again, you couldn't do anything to stop it so what matters. You could run to another counrty like Bill Clinton did.

No way. Vietnam is a good example. Before the draft, Americans were in favor of the war; they wanted the draft. A few months later, well... need I say more? If we had the draft now, it would be complete political suicide.

And it's not like we really need more soldiers out there. We're doing a fine job for now with what we have, and if we really need help, we could turn to our allies.

The liberal media wheels it out every so often to scare people. There won't be a draft, because the Democrats in Congress don't want to be the ones to implement it with the election only a year off.

Whenever I worry about a draft, I seal up my windows and doors, and that usually stops the drafts. Try it, it always stops the drafts.

If they did implement the draft, all those enlistment bonuses would go away and the government would save a ton of money.

No, there is no draft. The military has NO desire to do this. No Congressman or Senator really wants this. It is crap posted by morons who have nothing better to do.

There's no need for it, and it probably won't happen. If it does... well, at least they're not letting all those selective service cards we filled out when we reached voting age go to waste.
